Halloween Storytime Adventure: A Double Dose of Spooky Fun for Ages 4-6!

Get ready for an enchanting, fun-filled Halloween experience designed just for kids! This year, I’m offering not one but two magical story time adventures inspired by tow of my favorite children’s books: “The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything” by Linda Williams and “Room on the Broom” by Julia Donaldson. You can choose to enroll in one story session or join both for double the fun! With interactive games, creative crafts, and immersive storytelling, this is the perfect way to celebrate the Halloween season.

Come in Costume!
I encourage your child to dress up in their favorite Halloween costume to become part of the fun. Whether they’re a witch, wizard, or cute little pumpkin, their costume will help spark their imagination and make this Halloween adventure extra special.

Choose One Storytime or Enjoy Both!

Story #1: The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything
Follow the fearless journey of the little old lady in this classic tale. Join the wonderful Miss Kyria for a live reading of “The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything” as she brings the story to life with her animated storytelling. Kids will love following along as they discover how the little old lady bravely faces a series of spooky (but friendly) encounters.

Craft: Printable Scarecrow Paper Craft
Inspired by the story, children will get to create their very own scarecrow using my printable paper craft! This hands-on activity allows young artists to express their creativity as they assemble and decorate a charming scarecrow. It’s a wonderful way to let their imaginations run wild and enhance their fine motor skills at the same time.

Activity: Halloween Eye Spy
For extra fun, we’ll also play a game of Halloween Eye Spy! Your child will sharpen their observation skills as they search for hidden Halloween-themed objects in a colorful. This game is the perfect way to boost attention to detail while keeping things playful and exciting.

Story #2: Room on the Broom
Hop on the witch’s broomstick and fly into the whimsical world of “Room on the Broom” by Julia Donaldson! Miss Kyria’s expressive reading will immerse your child in the charming story of a witch, her cat, and a host of friendly animals who join them on their journey through the skies. This interactive reading is full of laughs, teamwork, and Halloween magic!

Craft: Printable Character Puppets
Make the story come to life with our Room on the Broom character puppets! Before the story begins, your child will create adorable puppets representing the beloved characters from the book. As Miss Kyria reads, your little one can follow along and act out the story using their puppets, turning story time into an engaging, hands-on experience. This creative craft not only enhances their imaginative play but also boosts their fine motor skills and storytelling abilities.

Why Your Child Will Love This Halloween Adventure:
